Waste Collection Fees

• Multi-residential buildings – first collection per week: $5.00 per unit per year. 
• Multi-residential properties - second collection per week: $9.50 per unit, per year
• Multi-residential buildings - bin rental $27.00 per month per bin
• Multi-residential properties - extra collections: $145.00 per hour
• Waste Management By-law WM-12 Part 12 (Owner has failed to comply with WM-12, Part 12; City collects waste at expense of owner): $145.00 per hour; $145.00 minimum per event

Construction and demolition waste are not accepted at the landfill. Please bring to an EnviroDepot (fees apply)

Standard fees

The weight of your materials being disposed of will determine the fee for using the landfill. Other fees include:

• Business waste: $75 per tonne
• Waste from outside service area accepted under Ministerial Order: $150 per tonne
• Minimum charge - excluding residential / charitable organization waste: $75 per transaction

Pre-approved fees

• Charitable organization waste: $0 per tonne
• Daily cover waste: $11 per tonne 
• Brownfield waste: $34 per tonne 
• Recycling process residuals: $40 per tonne 
• Business waste (minimum vehicle tare weight of 10 tonnes, charge account only): $46 

Recyclable materials

• Leaves & brush: No charge
• Blue box recyclables: No charge
• Tires, propane tanks, batteries, empty oil and antifreeze: No charge
• Fluorescent tubes and bulbs: No charge
• Electronics, TVs & monitors: No charge
• Appliances containing refrigerant: coming soon: a $20 per unit fee will apply for disposal.  Includes fridges, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and water coolers.
• Scrap metal: No charge

EnviroDepots

• Grass clippings: $2.00 per bag
• Bagged residential garbage: $2.00 per bag
• Appliances containing refrigerant: $20 per unit coming soon. Includes fridges, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers and water coolers​​​​​​
• Renovation materials: $29.00 minimum load, $57.00 per car/SUV load, $79.00 per truck/van/trailer load.

• Blue box recyclables
• Yard waste
• Batteries
• Scrap metal
• Bikes (repairable)
• Electronics, TVs & monitors
• Fluorescent bulbs and tubes
• Fats, cooking oils, and grease (FOG cups)
• Vehicle tires, batteries, and empty oil and antifreeze containers

Note: EnviroDepots do not accept furniture or mattresses.  If you have curbside collection, set these items out with your regular garbage, or deliver them to the W12A Landfill Site (fees apply).
