At the City of London, we are industry leaders with our employee perks and benefits!

We have a comprehensive benefit package for eligible employees and their eligible dependents. This could include:

  • Dental coverage
  • Life insurance
  • Travel coverage
  • Drug coverage

Healthy, safety and wellness

We have several resources available to employees, such as the Employee Assistance Program, wellness programs and events, and a digital catalogue of resources. We are also committed to a ‘Culture of Safety’ that is supported by a strong occupational health and safety program.

The City's Employee Assistance Program provides support with many topics such as:

  • Challenging personal situations
  • Health issues

  • Financial issues

We are proud to partner with Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) that provides pensions for eligible employees – including options for employees in casual and temporary positions. The OMERS pension plan also has reciprocal transfer agreements with many other public sector pension plans and can accept transfers from private sector pension plans in Canada. OMERS members can enroll in Additional Voluntary contributions (AVC) if they wish.

The City of London is a transparent employer. We include pay ranges on all our job postings.

For unionized positions, rates of pay are governed by collective agreements. This includes steps in a range and also annual pay increases.
