City-affiliated street outreach organizations operating in the Core Area

London CAReS Street Outreach 

This City-funded outreach team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, engaging with individuals experiencing homelessness and supporting them to move off the street and into a home. This outreach team provides basic support, provides winter gear and connects individuals to warming spaces and shelters.

Atlohsa Outreach

Atlohsa Outreach is a City-funded team that is currently overseeing the Indigenous-led winter response for homelessness. This team provides in-the-moment supports to those living unsheltered in the Core Area by providing strengths-based healing and wellness supports, utilizing trauma-informed and harm reduction approaches.

519Pursuit

519Pursuit is a not-for-profit, grass roots outreach team. Members of this team take to the streets to encourage conversation and give away care packages with food, gear and clothing. By meeting others where they are, the 519Pursuit team builds trust and bonds with the intention of creating relationships and self-encouragement.

Project Hope London

Project Hope London is a volunteer outreach program that provides basic needs of food, gear and clothing.

Ark Aid Mission

Ark Aid Mission is an organization with a strong presence in the Core Area, assisting individuals by providing daily meals, counselling and supports services.

Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC)

This organization provides health and safety supports in the Core Area.

London Intercommunity Health Centre (LIHC)

This organization provides health supports in the Core Area.

Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT)

The Critical Care Team is comprised of a critical care consultant, registered nurse and respiratory therapist.  They respond to medical emergencies in the Core Area and can be consulted by anyone who is concerned about a patient’s condition.

Community Outreach and Support Team (COAST)

The COAST team connects with individuals in the Core Area who are at risk of crisis or frequently experience crisis, due to a struggle with mental health, mental illness and/or addiction. For these individuals, the program provides proactive intervention, de-escalation and safe transition to the appropriate health care setting. COAST is a partnership between St. Joseph’s Health Care London, Canadian Mental Health Association Elgin-Middlesex, Middlesex-London Paramedic Service, and London Police Service.

Mission Services of London

Mission Services of London provides basic supplies to people experiencing homelessness.

Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services team

Comes out to the community with food service truck during extreme weather to offer hot beverages and food in the winter and cold beverages and food in the summer.
