2025 Ontario Renovates Program Now Open

The City of London is now accepting applications for 2025 Ontario Renovates Program. This program provides financial assistance to low-to moderate-income seniors aged 60 or older and individuals with disabilities. Funded by the provincial and federal governments and administered by the City of London Municipal Housing, the program extends support to homeowners and landlord/tenant rental units in London and Middlesex County.

To meet growing demand and assist more eligible households, several key enhancements have been introduced for 2025. City Council approved a $300,000 increase to the total program budget, which allows for an increase in the maximum funding available per household for repairs and accessibility modifications from $15,000 to $25,000. In addition, the requirement for mortgage registration on forgivable loans of $5,000 or more has been removed.

Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted. Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply early to secure an opportunity for financial assistance.

Financial assistance available for homeowners:

  •  A one-time 10-year forgivable loan of up to $25,000 for home repairs and/or accessibility modifications
