Touch-a-Truck event celebrating National Public Works Week
Join City of London staff for a free and fun family event on Saturday, May 23.
- Date: May 23, 2026
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12 noon
- Quiet time from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. for those who prefer fewer crowds and no honking from our trucks.
- Location: The Adelaide Operations Centre - 1153 Adelaide Street North.
What to expect
- Several of our trucks will be on display outside the Adelaide Yard for kids to interact with.
- See firsthand what trucks and machinery sewer operations, forestry professionals, waste management operators, and other public works teams use to help our city each day.
- Kids and families can ask questions, learn about the different trucks and equipment, and participate in activities.
- We will be unveiling the new name of the City Street Sweeper!
- The Food Bank will be there to take non-perishable food items.
