Facility closures
- The washroom facility at Gibbons Park is temporarily closed due to required repairs.
- Please note the Ivey Park spray pad will remain closed for 2026.
Canada Games Aquatic Centre
The Canada Games Aquatic Centre will be shut down for annual maintenance August 24 to September 13, 2026.
Lions Community Centre pool
The pool at East Lions Community Centre will unfortunately be closed this summer (beginning July 2 until the end of September) while we make necessary repairs and replace the windows around the pool. For the safety of swimmers, lifeguards, and the contractors, the pool will need to be closed. There is never an ideal time of year to do this work, but the City is planning to complete construction during the summer when outdoor pools, spray pads, and wading pools are also open. During construction, the nearest outdoor pools are Stronach pool on Sandford Street and Silverwoods pool on Sycamore Street. The closest indoor pool is at Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre. Spray pad and wading pool locations can also be found online at london.ca/pools
