The City of London’s Urban Design Awards return this year, and the Call for Entries is now open. The awards celebrate and inspire design excellence while showcasing local projects that represent placemaking, enhance the public realm and make London more welcoming, vibrant and connected.
“As our city grows, we continue to see exceptional examples of urban design being constructed that helps make London unique,” says Mayor Josh Morgan. “The return of the Urban Design Awards celebrates great design in our community, and helps build a stronger, more innovative city.”
Over the past 18 years, the City has been recognizing design excellence with the biennial Urban Design Awards. The awards invite submissions from architects, planners, landscape architects, urban designers, engineers, developers, home builders, students, and other design professionals who help shape our city’s built environment and public spaces.
“The Urban Design Awards recognize the incredible talent and creativity in London,” says Heather McNeely, Director, Planning & Development. “These awards not only showcase outstanding design and functionality but also inspire future projects in our community. We encourage everyone to participate and submit their innovative projects.”
