Rescue Rendezvous returns to The Catty Shack this Saturday

The City of London is inviting residents to The Catty Shack this Saturday, September 19, for Rescue Rendezvous, a family event that helps cats find loving homes.

Running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 756 Windermere Road, the event offers adoption discounts and opportunities to connect with local rescues. Visitors can spend time with cats waiting to become part of a new family.

“Rescue Rendezvous is more than an adoption event - it’s a chance for people to connect with the amazing cats at The Catty Shack and experience the joy of giving a cat a second chance,” says Michelle McBride, Animal Welfare Coordinator. “Every cat in our care is thoroughly assessed, loved, and ready to become a cherished member of a new family.”

Visitors will find The Catty Shack at the northwest corner of Adelaide Street North and Windermere Road. The adoption centre will be open throughout the event.

Can’t make it on September 19? Visit The Catty Shack during its regular hours:

• Wednesday to Friday: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

About The Catty Shack

The Catty Shack is the City of London’s cat adoption centre, providing a temporary home for healthy, friendly and vaccinated cats while they wait to be adopted. Its cozy, storefront-style house offers a welcoming space for Londoners to meet cats and find a new companion.

The Catty Shack does not accept animal intakes. Pet intakes for the City of London are handled by London Animal Care Centre at 121 Pine Valley Boulevard.
