Two weeks ahead of schedule, the City of London is excited to announce that the East Lions Community Centre pool is reopening to the public on Saturday, September 12, 2026!
To celebrate the reopening of this popular community hub, the following drop-in programs will be offered for free on September 12:
Looking to get back in the pool this fall? Registration for fall aquatics programming is now open at london.ca/PlayYourWay.
The pool was closed in July to protect the safety of lifeguards, swimmers, and construction workers while necessary repairs were made. Damaged windows were replaced, and the design of the windows was altered to be more resilient to any future damage. Changes were also made to make the windows simpler to replace if needed in the future.
While closed for construction, East Lions Community Centre also received a refresh after a busy camp season, including fresh paint for the front desk, a thorough cleaning, and minor maintenance.
We would like to thank Londoners for their patience and understanding while these repairs were made and are looking forward to welcoming you back to the pool!
