Colonel Talbot Road will close between Glanworth Drive and Tempo Road for MTO project

Colonel Talbot Road will be closed between Glanworth Drive and Tempo Road from September 11 to November 27 as part of a Ministry of Transportation (MTO) highway improvement project.

Expect delays on Colonel Talbot Road between Decker Drive and Orr Drive, northbound and southbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

A signed detour will be in place via Glanworth Drive and Tempo Road. The Highway 401/Colonel Talbot Road interchange ramps are also currently closed and are expected to reopen when the Colonel Talbot Road closure ends.

Why is this closure happening?

The closure is needed to rebuild Colonel Talbot Road where it connects to the new Highway 401 ramps, including removing the existing section of road that passes underneath the highway and installing new traffic signals.
