Draft Neighbourhood Plans and Guidelines - A summary information package of the project is now available. The Planning and Environment Committee will hold a public participation meeting to receive delegations and their comments regarding the Draft Neighbourhood Plans and Guidelines. A Neighbourhood Plan is intended as an alternative to a Secondary Plan, which establishes the fundamental requirements and coordinated planning approach for lands added to the Urban Growth Boundary. The purpose and effect of this amendment is to update The London Plan to coordinate the development of multiple properties through this new streamlined planning process, under the Secondary Planning framework. Amendments to The London Plan may include incorporation of a new Guideline Document for the Neighbourhood Planning Process and adding policies to the Secondary Plans part of The London Plan to introduce concept of Neighbourhood Plans. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
