Mayor Josh Morgan Announces the 2025 Mayor’s New Year’s Honour List

Mayor Josh Morgan is proud to announce the 2025 Mayor’s New Year’s Honour List, celebrating exceptional members of the London community for their achievements and contributions. This annual tradition recognizes individuals and organizations who have enriched the city through their dedication, talent, and philanthropy.

The 2025 honourees are:

  • Diane MacMillan – Age Friendly
  • Clark Bryan – Arts
  • Claire Crooks – Distinguished Londoner
  • George Kerhoulas – Distinguished Londoner
  • Jim Chapman – Distinguished Londoner
  • Mike Bessegato – Distinguished Londoner
  • Sheldon Carter – Distinguished Londoner
  • Tyler Stewart – Distinguished Londoner
  • Hetham Karky – Diversity and Race Relations
  • Shaquille Sealy – Environment
  • Maureen Spencer Golovchenko – Heritage

The Mayor of London’s annual Honour List began in 1976 with the recognition of contributions to the Arts. Over time, additional categories such as Diversity & Race Relations, Environment, Heritage, Housing, Humanitarianism, Persons with Disabilities, Safety & Crime Prevention, Accessibility, Age Friendly, and Sports have been added to reflect the breadth of community contributions.

City Council names recipients on the recommendation of Advisory Committees or community organizations through the City’s Standing Committees.
