Enhancements to Thames Park will include:

  • Four new pickleball courts
  • A nature themed splash pad
  • A new nature themed play area
  • New tables and benches, and a leaf-shaped shade structure
  • Planting 30+ trees
  • Parking lot and walkway upgrades

Existing tennis courts, community gardens, pathways, walkways, and open space will remain, and will be available during construction.

A map of the new improvements is available online.

About the Thames Park improvements project

After two years of public engagement with park users and neighbours, a design was developed that includes upgrading the playground, adding a splash pad, constructing new pickleball courts, and several other enhancements. The City wishes to extend thanks to everyone who participated during the public engagement.

The City is excited to begin constructing the next chapter of Thames Park and the new features that will be used by Londoners and families for years to come.
