City of London adds more “park & pick-up” locations downtown, extends 2-hour core parking discount to end of April

The City is continuing to implement parking initiatives that aim to attract visitors to the core and make it easier for customers and delivery services to access businesses.

Six new short-term parking spots have been added throughout the downtown to provide clearly identifiable locations for customers and food delivery drivers when they are making quick food and parcel pickups. These “park & pick-up” locations were identified through requests from businesses, keeping in mind both safety and convenience. The six new parking spots are in addition to six locations installed earlier this month.

The City is also extending its two-hour parking discount promotion to April 30, 2021. Visitors to the core can take advantage of this offer by using the HonkMobile app and entering the promo code “B2B20” when parking. Anyone wishing to access the promotion without using the app can also phone ahead to the City’s Parking Services, at 519-661-4537, and the discount can be arranged.

These parking solutions are being implemented by the City’s Back to Business (B2B) team, a temporary initiative providing rapid and flexible responses to businesses’ requests related to serving customers safely during the pandemic. This program is funded through the City’s Core Area Action Plan, which outlines short-, medium-, and long-term initiatives focused on revitalizing and strengthening London’s core.
