City of London accepting nominations for the 2024 Diversity, Race Relations & Inclusivity Award

Do you know of an organization leading an initiative to make London more inclusive? Or a Londoner dedicated to improving race relations within our community? Consider nominating them for the 2024 Diversity, Race Relations & Inclusivity Award (DRRIA).

This annual award recognizes the contributions of London-based organizations, initiatives, and individuals that promote inclusion, celebrate diversity, and improve race relations within our community.

The award honours those who foster an inclusive London by creating opportunities for all people, regardless of background, and who help eliminate barriers to equality. Eligible nominations can represent a wide variety of efforts, from community-based projects and programs to workplace initiatives, all focused on making London a more equitable city.

“As a community, we strive to build a more inclusive and welcoming London,” says Prabh Gill, Chair of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Oppression Community Advisory Committee. “These awards highlight those who work tirelessly to break down barriers and foster belonging, helping us make meaningful progress toward a more equitable society."

Award winners will be announced in December and recognized at a special ceremony. Their efforts will also be featured on the City’s website and social media channels.

How to Submit a Nomination:

Londoners are encouraged to nominate individuals, businesses, or organizations who demonstrate a commitment to anti-racism, inclusion, and social justice. Nominations can be submitted until Tuesday, October 1, through the City of London's website at london.ca/DRRIAward.
