About Councillor Hillier

Steve Hillier is serving his first term as Councillor for ward 14. He is happily married for over 28 years and currently resides in ward 14 as he has for the last 24 years with his wife and two sons.  Steve studied at Fanshawe College, where he earned a diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technology as an adult student after recovering from a serious industrial accident.  He has owned and run many businesses in London and was a founding vendor at the Western Fair Farmers Market (now The Market at Western Fair District) running his own bakery called Canada Comfort Foods.

Steve might remember him as the Buttertart, Brownie and Cookie man.  He gave a free buttertart to anyone that was visiting the market for the first time.  He was also the Assistant to the Engineering Manager at Beta Brands/McCormicks, a Hydro Forming Manufacturing Engineering Technologist at Vari-Form and has consulted and troubleshooted with dozens of factories in London and area.  He has worked behind the scenes for many years helping businesses and teaching others how to succeed honourably.

He enjoys mentoring people and loves to use social media to show small and medium sized business how to increase sales and grow their businesses without spending money.  He is recognized as a leader in the community with a passion for helping, like he says, “helping makes him feel good” and “practical ideas equal real solutions”

If you have a question, comment or issue you would like to discuss, please email or call Steve at your convenience.
