Your new waste collection schedules will be delivered between late October and early November.
In the meantime, you can view your schedule online or pick it up at City facilities.

Newcomer Day 2026 will be held at Western University (1151 Richmond Street) at the Grand Hall, Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
This is free event hosted by the City of London to welcome people who are new to our community. Everyone is welcome. Drop in anytime between 12 to 4 p.m.
Whether you’ve recently arrived in London, or are still finding your way around, Newcomer Day is a place to explore what our city has to offer.
Most importantly, this event is a chance to meet people, build connections and discover the many ways you can get involved in your new community.
Remember to stop by the photobooth to capture a few memories along the way!

Getting to the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building

The Ronald D. Schmeichel Building is only a few minutes’ walk from the following London Transit bus stops:
Once you get off the bus, look for Newcomer Day lawn signs along pathways that will direct you towards the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
We recommend parking in the Springett Parking Lot, located across from Huron University College. From the parking lot, cross Western Road at the crosswalk near the intersection of Burnlea Drive and Western Road. From there, you will find the entrance to the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building.
