Your new waste collection schedules will be delivered between late October and early November.
In the meantime, you can view your schedule online or pick it up at City facilities.
Household hazardous and special products
The City of London operates a Hazardous and Special Products Depot and offers residents a safe way to dispose of hazardous and special products waste. This includes materials that are corrosive, flammable, poisonous or reactive.

- Household batteries (5kg or less)
- Car batteries
- Flea powder
- Lightbulbs and tubes
- Nail polish & remover

- Thermometers, thermostats, carbon monoxide detectors

- Gasoline
- Glues
- Motor oil
- Car care products

The following materials are accepted at the Hazardous and Special Products Depot and at EnviroDepots:

Disposal fees for hazardous and special products
This is a depot for residential use and there is no charge for residents of the City of London or Middlesex County, and to businesses disposing of small quantities from London and Middlesex County. The exemption limit for businesses disposing of Hazardous and Special Products is 5 kg/month (60 kg/year) and is 25 kg/month (300 kg/year) for liquid industrial waste. Businesses must complete a small quantity exemption form, contact service@london.ca.
Businesses with larger quantities cannot use this depot and must dispose of their special waste with a private contractor according to provincial regulations.
