Advance Vote opens October 1 for the 2026 Municipal Election

Londoners can vote early in the 2026 Municipal Election starting Thursday, October 1. Advance Voting offers several opportunities to cast a ballot before Voting Day on Monday, October 26.

Eligible voters can use any advance voting location open on their chosen date, regardless of their ward. All Advance Voting locations listed below are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Get ready to vote

Check the Voters’ List

Visit london.ca/elections to check that you are on the Voters’ List and that your name, address, and school support are correct. You can add yourself to the list, update your information, find your ward and check where to vote. Have identification showing your name, date of birth and London address ready if you are registering online.

Eligible voters can also be added to the list when they go to vote. Checking your information ahead of time can help make your visit quicker.

Bring your voter notification card and identification

Your voter notification card (VNC) identifies your assigned Voting Day location. Check the information on your card and bring it with you when you vote, if you have received it. You can still vote without a card.

Bring acceptable identification showing your name and address. A list of accepted documents is available at london.ca/elections. If you have questions about identification or your card, contact the Elections Office before heading to the polls.

Check your ward and Voting Day location

New ward boundaries take effect for this election, so your ward may have changed. Use the online ward map at london.ca/elections to confirm your ward.

Voting Day is Monday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Voting Day, voters must attend their assigned voting location, as shown on their voter notification card or through the City’s online voter information tool.

Who can vote

To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years old on Voting Day, and live in London, own or rent property in London, or be the spouse of someone who owns or rents property in London. You must also not be prohibited from voting by law.

Eligible students living in London while attending school can vote here and in their home municipality if they consider their home to be the place they return to when not attending school.
