Middlesex County includes a large geographical area, surrounding the City of London. Access to public transportation, connecting Middlesex County to London and adjacent urban centres in Southwestern Ontario, has become more accessible over the last 5 years, with the implementation of Inter Community Transit bus services. The Via Rail train also has multiple stops within Middlesex County, connecting residents and visitors with affordable travel to the larger urban areas of Ontario.

Air Travel

The London International Airport is the closest international airport, just on the eastern border of the City of London, and offers daily flights throughout Canada, the U.S., and select international destinations.

Train Travel

Via Rail is Canada’s national passenger rail service that runs multiple trains each day to destinations throughout Canada. It has multiple stations across Middlesex County, connecting residents and visitors to both the rural and urban areas of Southwestern Ontario.

Middlesex County Connect

• An inter-community public transit bus service that connects municipalities in Middlesex County to one another, as well as to the hubs of London, Woodstock, Ingersoll, and St. Thomas. It caters to the needs of seniors, students, youth, workers, and persons with disabilities, allowing them to easily access amenities in their hometowns as well as neighboring communities.

Strathroy Inter Community Transit

• An inter-community public transit bus service that connects Strathroy-Caradoc, Mount Brydges, Komoka, Sarnia and London.

Vehicles for Hire

Private services such as traditional taxicabs and online services like Uber are present and available in some areas of Middlesex County and are regulated by local bylaws.
