Work begins on Dundas Street between Quebec and Egerton Streets for East London Link

Work begins today on Dundas Street between Quebec Street and Egerton Street for the East London Link Phase 2 project. Construction in this area of the project is expected to take approximately two months to complete.

Local access is being maintained between Quebec Street and Egerton Street; however, drivers can expect lane restrictions and delays. Businesses remain open, and signage will be in place to help guide pedestrians to their destinations.

Accessing Dundas Street in Old East Village

Turning restrictions have been removed for southbound motorists on Adelaide Street North at Dundas Street to help people driving to Dundas Street in Old East Village. Drivers can now reach Dundas Street from all directions at Adelaide Street North. Access to Dundas Street from York Street is currently being maintained at Glebe and Hewitt Streets.

About the East London Link project

The East London Link is a multi-year project that will revitalize more than 6 km of road from Downtown to Fanshawe College. The project will add transportation and transit improvements above ground, while repairing and replacing aging sewers, watermains and other underground infrastructure. The East London Link has received funding commitments from the Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario to support 10 transit and transit-supportive projects.
