June is Recreation and Parks Month, and the City of London is offering a selection of free programs and activities for all ages. There are activities like yoga in the park, rhythm kickboxing, salsa, K-pop dance, recreational swimming and much more to try.
“Free recreation programs help make it easier for everyone to get active, try something new, and connect with their community,” says Cheryl Smith, Deputy City Manager, Neighbourhood & Community-Wide Services. “In addition to our recreation centres, our parks are also becoming spaces for free programs and activities. With activities like yoga in the park and disc golf, the City is helping keep parks vibrant and lively while introducing residents to new spaces and new ways to use them.”
Together with free programming, London’s parks and outdoor spaces provide everyday opportunities for recreation and wellbeing. The City’s extensive network of trails and pathways welcomed 2 million users in 2025 and connected residents and visitors to a wide variety of outdoor spaces, including skateboard parks, dog parks, sports fields, playgrounds, gardens, and natural areas. These spaces help Londoners and visitors stay active and connect with nature.
