In keeping with Provincial regulations, all indoor City recreation and sport facilities will be closed as of January 5, 2022.
Cancellations for regularly scheduled programs and events that take place at our community centres and arenas, and pools will be posted on this page.
As part of our ongoing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, and in keeping with the Province’s announcement that Ontario will transition to a modified version of Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen, all indoor City recreation and sport facilities will be closed as of January 5, 2022. These measures will be in place for at least 21 days (until January 27) subject to trends in public health and our health system.
Impacts to City recreation and sport services include the following:
Recreation and sport programs
All programs at community centres, arenas and aquatics facilities will be cancelled beginning January 5. Participants who had registered for recreation and sport programs at indoor facilities will be contacted about specific impacts directly through phone calls and emails, and can access information about recreation and sport programming and facilities on the City’s website. All participants who have registered for a fee-based program that has been cancelled will receive a credit to their user account. Refunds will also be made upon request.
All memberships will be extended based on the number of days that recreation and sport facilities are closed.
All facility rentals up until January 27 will be cancelled at this time and refunds will be provided. Upcoming availability will be re-evaluated as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
