Background

The Victoria Street Sewage Pumping Station is reaching the end of its lifecycle. A Schedule B Class Environmental Assessment was completed to determine the preferred solution for this sanitary pumping station. 

Current status

The 30-day review period ended June 8, 2021. The Environmental Assessment is now complete, and detailed design will be subsequently completed in 2021. Construction is expected to begin in 2022.

Study area

The Victoria Street Sewage Pumping Station is located within the municipal right-of-way at 47 Victoria Street.

The Class Environmental Assessment was conducted according to the requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, which is a planning process approved under Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act.
