Fire Services employment

OUR MISSION: Be Caring. Be Safe. Prevent Harm.

Preventing fires remains our first line of defense, but, when emergencies occur, the Firefighting division is there to help. Our team is trained and equipped to deliver fire suppression, auto-extrication and defibrillation services. They also perform HazMat, technical rescue and water/ice rescue services. Our training, communications, clerical, apparatus and stores divisions provide ongoing support to train, dispatch alarms, maintain the services and assist in our overall functioning. Our team of over 400 dedicated employees serve more than 380,000 residents as well as tens of thousands of students attending Western University and Fanshawe College.
