On Friday, October 21, 2022 surface asphalt paving operations and the application of permanent pavement markings will occur on King Street, between Richmond Street and Wellington Street, requiring a full road closure of King Street until approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
During this time, motorists travelling eastbound on King Street will be detoured to Richmond Street to York Street. Northbound and southbound drivers on Clarence Street are advised to use Richmond Street, Wellington Street and York Street to reach their destinations.
Access for motorists exiting the parking garage at Citi Plaza onto King Street will be maintained with some short-term restrictions and delays. Drivers entering the Citi-Plaza parking garage located on the north side of King Street are advised to use the Wellington Street entrance while this road closure is in place.
Sidewalk access will be maintained and pedestrians are advised to follow signs to navigate the construction zone.
Businesses will remain open and accessible during construction.
