Highbury Avenue between Hamilton Road and Commissioners Road East will be closed to all road users beginning tomorrow (Thursday, May 27) until Sunday, May 30.
This closure is to allow crews to pour concrete as part of the Highbury Avenue – Wenige Expressway Bridge Renewal project.
During this time, a signed detour will be in effect for motorists. Northbound and southbound vehicles travelling through the area will be redirected east around the closure using Hamilton Road and Commissioners Road East.
Access to local businesses in the Highbury Avenue and Hamilton Road area will be maintained for pedestrians and local vehicular traffic.
Transit riders are advised to check the LTC detour if their route is impacted.
Motorists are advised to check if their commute is impacted, and to plan ahead by using the Waze app.
