Lane Restrictions: Horton Street West and Horton Street East at Wharncliffe Road South, and Stanley Street between Wharncliffe Road South and Perry Street

Over the coming weeks, the City of London will continue with necessary advance work in preparation for the Wharncliffe Road South Improvements project. This advance work will require periodic lane restrictions on Horton Street West, Horton Street East and Stanley Street.

Starting on Tuesday, February 8, lane restrictions will be in place on Stanley Street between Wharncliffe Road South and Perry Street until approximately the week of February 21, 2022.

Lane restrictions on Horton Street West and Horton Street East at Wharncliffe Road South are expected to begin tentatively in mid-February, subject to required approvals. Restrictions in this area are expected to be in place for approximately five weeks.

During this time, lane closure signs will be installed to alert road users of the restrictions. Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the area, and are encouraged to plan ahead by using the Waze app.

Temporary sidewalk closures and restrictions will also be in effect on Horton Street West and Stanley Street, and pedestrians are encouraged to use nearby streets to avoid this closure and to reach their destinations in the area.

Transit users are encouraged to visit www.londontransit.ca/detours-stop-closures for service updates and detours.
