Beginning Monday, May 1, Colonel Talbot Road will be closed between Southdale Road West and Byron Baseline Road, as part of construction for the Southdale Road West and Colonel Talbot Road Improvements project.
Local traffic will be permitted between Byron Baseline Road and the residential development located at 2615 Colonel Talbot Road (approximately 300 metres north of Southdale Road West) while this closure is in place.
With construction activity beginning in the area, typical travel times will be impacted. Plan ahead using a navigational app such as Waze or Google Maps, give yourself extra time, and consider traveling outside of peak traffic times when possible.

About the Southdale Road West and Colonel Talbot Road Improvements project
The City of London is reconfiguring the intersection of Southdale Road West and Colonel Talbot Road as a roundabout while making upgrades to underground infrastructure and adding active transportation infrastructure improvements. The project is designed to improve comfort and safety for all road users and help accommodate existing and future travel demand. Construction is expected to wrap up in December of 2023, with some minor finishing work in spring of 2024.
