Byron Bridge will be reduced to one lane on September 11 and 12 for inspection work

The City of London will be inspecting Byron Bridge on Monday, September 11, and Tuesday, September 12, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and requires lane restrictions while this work is underway.

The northbound lane on the east side of the bridge will be closed first, and both northbound and southbound traffic will use the southbound lane on the west side of the bridge, with traffic control flagging to direct alternating access across the bridge.

Once work on the east side of the bridge is complete the southbound lane will be closed and traffic will have alternating access across the bridge using the northbound lane. Drivers can expect delays, and are advised to find alternative routes where possible.

Pedestrian access will be maintained.
