Adelaide Street North closed between Pall Mall Street and Dufferin Avenue today; expected to reopen by end of day Wednesday, May 17

Adelaide Street North is closed between Pall Mall Street and Dufferin Avenue today and is expected to reopen by end of day on Wednesday, May 17.

City of London crews continue to respond to an emergency sewer repair on Adelaide Street North between Dufferin Avenue and Lorne Avenue that began last Friday, and have closed a portion of Adelaide Street North to complete this work.

Further north on Adelaide Street North near Elias Street, watermain installation is planned for the Adelaide Underpass, which also requires a full road closure on Adelaide Street North. This work was originally scheduled for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17; however, it has been rescheduled for today, to coordinate with the emergency closure that is already in place.

Drivers will be detoured to Hamilton Road, Highbury Avenue and Oxford Street East while the closure is in place; however, local access will be permitted north and south of Pall Mall Street and Dufferin Avenue, respectively.

Pedestrian access is being maintained throughout the area.

LTC buses are being detoured along Dufferin Avenue, William Street, and Pall Mall Street. Information regarding the closure is available on realtime.londontransit.ca

Businesses remain open.

We recognize this is a significant transportation impact in an already busy construction season. Please be mindful of others on the roads and watch your speed.
