NOTICE OF APPLICATION

The following applications have been received by the City of London.  The Planning and Environment Committee will be considering these applications at a future public meeting, the date and time of which will be published in the Londoner. If you have any questions or would like to provide comment, please see “Providing Comment” below.

1958 Duluth Crescent – The purpose and effect of this Official Plan and zoning change is to permit building heights up to 6 storeys, and to permit the development of two 5-storey, 60-unit apartment buildings (225 units per hectare). Possible amendment to the Official Plan, The London Plan, to amend Specific Policy 1057D_ in the Neighbourhoods Place Type to permit a maximum building height of 6 storeys. Possible change to Zoning By-law Z.-1 FROM a Holding Residential R5 Special Provision/Residential R6 Special Provision (h*h-100*R5-6(18)/R6-5(93)) Zone TO a Residential R5 Special Provision/Residential R6 Special Provision (R5-6(_)/R6-5(_)) Zone with special provisions to implement the proposed development. The City may also contemplate alternative zoning such as a different base zone, additional permitted uses, additional special provisions (i.e. height and/or density), and/or the use of holding provisions. NOTICE OF INTENT TO REMOVE A HOLDING PROVISION 

The Approval Authority will consider removing the Holding Provisions as applied to the lands described below at a future Council Meeting.  The Approval Authority will not hear representations from the public on these matters.  If you have any questions or comments about this matter, please call the planner identified below.

850 Medway Park Drive – The Delegated Authority for the City of London intends to consider removing the h-17 holding provision from the subject lands.  The purpose of the “h-17” provision is to ensure the orderly development of lands and the adequate provision of municipal services. The “h-17” symbol shall not be deleted until full municipal sanitary sewer and water services are available to service the site. The Delegated Authority will consider removing the holding provisions as they apply to these lands no earlier than December 16, 2024. File: H-9812. Planner: R. Bolivar.

1389 Commissioners Road East – The Delegated Authority for the City of London intends to consider removing the h-1 holding provision from the subject lands. The purpose of the “h-1” provision is to ensure that mitigating measures are undertaken in areas adjacent to transportation and utility corridors, an agreement shall be entered into, following consultation with relevant agencies, covering requirements for incorporating appropriate noise and/or vibration attenuation measures into the design of the development, prior to the removal of the "h-1" symbol. If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. 
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGWard Boundary Review – Final Report and Recommendations - Tuesday, December 10, 2024, not to be heard before 1:00 PM, Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 Dufferin Ave., London ON. The Strategic Priorities and Policy Committee will hold a public participation meeting to receive delegations and their comments regarding the Ward Boundary Final Report and Recommendations. The Ward Boundary Final Report will provide the community’s feedback and recommendations for future ward boundaries for the City of London.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS FOR THE MOBILITY MASTER PLAN – The City is continuing community consultation for the Mobility Master Plan with the release of new city-wide maps with recommendations for road, transit, cycling and sidewalk projects to be completed over the next 25 years. Future mobility planning is critical as we work towards meeting the demands of a growing population, climate change goals and providing safe, healthy, affordable and accessible mobility options for all Londoners to get where they need to go efficiently. 

How to Get Involved:

Londoners are encouraged to provide feedback on the draft mobility projects and timelines. Please visit the Mobility Master Plan page to preview the draft mobility project maps, or to see the time and location of upcoming public meeting dates in December and January.

NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF MUNICIPAL LANDS - Pursuant to City of London By-law A.-6151-17, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of London at its meeting on November 26, 2024 declared the following lands to be surplus and now intends to dispose of them:

Part of 190 Egerton Street, further described as Part Lot 4, Plan 446, as in 892124, in the City of London. This City-owned property is a vacant, unused parcel containing approximately 505.90 square feet.

Part of 50 Rollingwood Circle Park, further described as Part of Block B in Registered Plan 837 in the City of London. This City-owned property is a pie shaped property containing approximately 3,746 square feet in total area.
