Councillor Anna Hopkins

Councillor Anna Hopkins

Anna Hopkins is the Councillor for ward 9.

About Councillor Hopkins

Anna and Bill Hopkins came to London from Toronto over 30 years ago to raise a family and start a business.  They settled in Byron where Anna became active in the community as well as in their small business.  She volunteered on numerous community boards-home and School, Soccer Clubs, a Day Care Building Centre-all the organizations that hold a community together.  She has long served on the board of the Urban League, is a member of the Lambeth and Byron community organizations and the Byron Legion.

Twenty years ago, Anna joined other community volunteers to try to Save Reservoir Hill from an oversized development.  Through that effort, she learned about planning and development, about how the city really works.  She was elected in 2014 -2018 as Councillor for Ward 9 representing the City on the UTRCA and LMHC Boards and the Audit and Dearness Home Management Committees.  She was re-elected in 2018 and is looking forward to putting her experience and knowledge to work for the community, whether you are in Lambeth or Byron, Talbot Village or Riverbend.
