We have made progress on our commitment to being a well-run city, combining innovation, transparency, and efficiency to deliver exceptional services to residents.

Enhancing transparency with new digital tools

One example of increased transparency was the recent launch of the Strategic Plan Performance Dashboard, offering residents real-time insights into our progress towards the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. This interactive tool tracks completed actions, highlights what’s on track, and calls attention to areas that need extra focus—keeping the public in the loop and ensuring accountability every step of the way.

In that same vein, we are is preparing to launch a near real-time water overflow and bypass reporting website by year’s end. This new platform will provide residents with up-to-the-minute data on water management activities, offering a level of transparency that helps keep the public informed on a crucial issue impacting both the environment and the community.

Defining the future of London’s wards

The Ward Boundary Review, which prepared City Council to consider and discuss whether to maintain the existing ward boundaries or pursue an alternative arrangement, reached a significant milestone this year. Following extensive public consultation that allowed Londoners to have their voices heard, Council approved the final adjusted ward boundaries and the associated by-law at the December 17 Council meeting. These changes reflect the input received from residents and community groups throughout the process.

Financial sustainability with the 2024-2027 Multi-Year Budget

On the financial front, our 2024-2027 Multi-Year Budget made headlines, with more than $76 million in additional revenues, expenditure reductions, and cost avoidance. This budget supports key initiatives, from infrastructure projects to public safety enhancements, ensuring London’s growth is both sustainable and responsible.

In addition, we continued to maintain our Aaa credit rating and stable outlook from Moody’s Investors Service, the highest rating possible for the 48th year in a row. Sustaining this standard provides our municipality with continued advantages and financial flexibility.

Celebrating infrastructure achievements amid record growth

As London experiences another record-setting year of construction, we've kept residents informed every step of the way. Major milestones included the reopening of Victoria Bridge, the launch of new traffic lanes under the Adelaide Underpass, and the unveiling of our first Rapid Transit shelter—all part of our efforts to minimize disruption and keep London growing while maintaining high levels of public communication.
