King Street and Waterloo Street intersection closed starting Tuesday, July 19, for East London Link construction

Starting Tuesday, July 19, the intersection of King and Waterloo Streets will be closed to all traffic for approximately two months to install new storm and sanitary sewers and rebuild the intersection. This work is part of the East London Link Phase 1 project, which is adding transportation and transit improvements above ground, while repairing and replacing aging underground infrastructure.

To maintain access to businesses and properties, portions of King Street just east of Wellington Street and just west of Colborne Street will be converted to two-way traffic. Pedestrian access is being maintained through the King and Waterloo Street intersection. Cyclists will be able to travel around the intersection, and are encouraged to use Dundas Street and Colborne Street, where protected bike lanes are available.
