City of London contingency plans in place during Canada Post work stoppage

A national postal work stoppage has commenced following the breakdown of negotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW).  The City of London has implemented contingency plans to minimize impacts on residents and ensure continuity of essential services.

While the work stoppage has caused disruptions to mail delivery and pickup services, the city has planned to address key areas of concern, including the delivery of time-sensitive documents and legislatively required notices.

The city encourages residents to utilize digital services where available and to review their payment and communication methods to avoid disruptions while this work stoppage is ongoing.
