Public engagement opens for residents of Developer-maintained subdivisions

As London continues to experience significant growth, and new subdivisions are being constructed across London, the City is taking new steps to engage residents living in these areas. A new feedback opportunity has launched to engage Londoners living in developer-maintained subdivisions to better understand their experiences and needs.

Developer-maintained subdivisions are areas currently under the management of the land developer. These areas often feature incomplete infrastructure, ongoing construction, unfinished sidewalks, and minimal landscaping. Services in these subdivisions are guided by a Subdivision Agreement between the developer and the City of London, outlining each party’s responsibilities until the City takes full control.

The City’s Neighbourhoods Coordinator works closely with developers, builders, City of London Councillors, and city staff to address construction-related concerns and ensure that resident satisfaction is balanced with construction progress. This role is essential in promoting effective communication and supporting the growth of new communities.

The launch of the Get Involved page will serve as a valuable resource for residents ofdeveloper-maintained subdivisions. This page will provide updates and resources for those invested in their community. As part of this launch, we are collecting feedback to better serve residents. By completing our feedback form, your input will help inform decisions to enhance the quality of life in your area.
