Dear friends,

It is with great honour and pleasure that I welcome you to the City of London.

London is one of the fastest-growing city in Ontario, with our population growth mainly attributed to newcomers from overseas and throughout Canada. Over 24% of Londoners identify as immigrants and contribute to the rich diversity of our community.

London is home to over 500,000 residents and 14,000 employers, as well as a thriving economy with a strong base in educational services, health care, and social assistance, retail, accommodation and food services, professional, scientific, and technical services. Known as “The Forest City”,  London offers a vast number of parks, as well as walking and biking trails where you can enjoy and appreciate the beautiful nature of Southwestern Ontario.

Our thriving arts community and growing number of cultural restaurants and independent cafes can also be enjoyed throughout the city. Located in the heart of downtown, The Grand Theatre is a cultural hub for artists of various backgrounds from around the world to share their story in creative form. Along with being home to the London Knights hockey team and the London Lightning basketball team, Budweiser Gardens hosts various world-renowned musicians and entertainers throughout the year.

We invite you to explore our Immigration Portal and the City of London website for information on the history, culture, nature, businesses, job opportunities, and various settlement services offered within the community. Our Free of Fear Services for All policy ensures the provision of services to all residents regardless of their immigration status.

Thank you for choosing London as your new home and we look forward to building the community alongside you.

Kind regards,

Josh Morgan
