Dear friends,
Welcome to London!
Your new home is a city made rich by its innovation and diversity, its arts and culture, its entertainment and entrepreneurs, and most of all – its people. Nearly a quarter of all Londoners come from outside of Canada, from all backgrounds and all parts of the world. Diversity is celebrated in London.
Experience the many different programs, education and services offered to everyone.
You have joined a community of nearly 400,000 people with 14,000 employers, state-of-the-art health facilities, world-class post-secondary institutions and entertainment options for people of all ages. With more than 470 parks and open spaces, and 330 kilometres of walking/biking trails, you will learn first-hand why London is known as “The Forest City”.
London has a thriving arts community, fantastic restaurants, coffee shops and so much more! The city’s downtown features Budweiser Gardens, an award-winning facility which is home to the London Knights hockey team and the London Lightning basketball team. The venue also hosts some of the most famous musicians, entertainers and stage shows in the world.
We are grateful you have chosen London and decided to become part of our community.
Kind Regards,
Ed Holder
Mayor, City of London
