The City of London has released the results of its 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey, conducted by Forum Research Inc. between September 16 and October 6, 2024. The survey gathered insights from 500 residents aged 18 and older, providing feedback on the priorities and perceptions of Londoners.
Homelessness remains the foremost concern for Londoners, with 55% of respondents identifying it as the most pressing issue facing the city. Other significant issues include high interest rates and traffic congestion, each cited by 19% of respondents.
In addition, 75% of respondents rated their overall quality of life in London as good or very good.
Respondents expressed a high level of satisfaction with City services, with 74% indicating they are satisfied with the overall level and quality of services provided.
Respondents highlighted positive experiences with City staff, with 92% of those who had contact with staff reporting they found them courteous. This is an increase from 88% in 2023.
The results of the 2024 Resident Satisfaction Survey will guide the City in addressing key concerns and improving services, aligning with the goals outlined in the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan.
"This survey is just one way that Council seeks to understand the issues most important to residents. The results support our decision-making and ensure we are addressing the concerns that affect Londoners," says Mayor Josh Morgan. “We will continue to prioritize areas that need improvement while maintaining the high standards of service that Londoners expect.”

About the Resident Satisfaction Survey
The annual Resident Satisfaction Survey provides Londoners with the opportunity to voice their opinions and ideas about important issues facing our city. When a resident gets a call to take part in this private survey, they are asked questions about their quality of life, priorities, perceived value for their taxes and contentment with the services and initiatives offered by the municipality.
The survey is one of many tools the City uses to gather input on local issues, make strategic choices and ensure that organizational objectives and resident needs are aligned.
