Londoners reminded to be extremely cautious around the Thames River during high water levels

Due to the significant amount of rain London has experienced, high water levels are expected to continue along the Thames River today. Parks along the river and the Thames Valley Parkway will continue to experience flooding, and Londoners are reminded to avoid flooded areas.

Gibbons Park (including the spray pad, playground, and pool) is closed in response to the flooding. The North London Athletic Fields, the Northridge Fields, and Fanshawe Quarry golf course are also closed.

During this time, Londoners should be extremely cautious around the river, and keep children and pets away from any flooded areas. Watercourses are fast-moving and the riverbank is soft and slippery.

Our Service London portal also allows residents to submit service requests or report issues online 24/7. Residents can report issues related to yard flooding, catchbasin flooding, home flooding, damaged roads and damaged sidewalks at service.london.ca.
