PUBLIC PARTICIPATION MEETING PROCESS

Anyone wishing to speak at a Public Participation Meeting can do so virtually using Zoom online or phone, or by attending in person. City Hall is currently open to the public for public participation meetings. If you wish to attend in person to speak to a matter that is on an agenda you are encouraged to pre-register by email or phone; however, should you wish to attend virtually, pre-registration is required.  To pre-register, please email PPMClerks@london.ca or call 519-661-2489, ext. 7100.  Please note that some Elected Officials may attend the meetings virtually.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE – 2024 to 2027 Multi-Year Budget – A public Open House is being held on January 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Committee Rooms #1 and #2 at City Hall, 300 Dufferin Avenue to discuss the draft Property Tax Budget, Water Budget and Wastewater & Treatment Budgets as released by Civic Administration on December 12, 2023. This drop-in style open house will be held to provide an opportunity for interested parties to review the base budgets and business cases and discuss the budget process with members of the Budget team. The budget materials and a pre-recorded presentation of the budget process are also posted on the City’s Get Involved webpage https://getinvolved.london.ca/budget.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC UPDATE MEETING  – Sunningdale Road and Richmond Street Intersection Improvements  – The City of London is completing the detailed design for the reconstruction and widening of the Sunningdale Road and Richmond Street intersection. The project will include the reconstruction of Sunningdale Road between Villagewalk Boulevard and Redford Road, and Richmond Street between Villagewalk Boulevard and Uplands Drive.

A virtual Public Update Meeting (PUM) is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2024, starting at 12:00 p.m.  The PUM will be presented using the Zoom Webinar platform. To learn more about the project and register for the online PUM, please visit the project’s website at getinvolved.london.ca/SunningdaleRichmond.

An in-person PUM is also scheduled for Tuesday January 16, 2024. Residents are invited to drop-in between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Stoney Creek Community Centre, YMCA & Library, 920 Sunningdale Rd E.

Both the online and in-person meetings will present similar materials and allow residents the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the project team.
