All public health officials agree that the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to follow these precautions:

  • Stay two metres away from others
  • Follow all social gathering guidelines and limits
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often (for 15 to 20 seconds) or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Cover coughs/sneezes with your sleeve or cough/sneeze into your elbow
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Clean and disinfect high touch areas frequently
  • Wear face coverings in all indoor enclosed public spaces, including retail, food and commercial establishments
  • Stay home if you are sick
