UPDATED: Overnight closure of King Street between Wellington and Waterloo Streets for paving and line painting, Thursday, August 17

Original public service announcement announced overnight closure taking place on Wednesday, August 16 to Thursday, August 17. 

King Street will be closed between Wellington and Waterloo Streets on Thursday, August 17, from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Friday, August 18, for base asphalt and paint application as part of the East London Link project.

Visitors to the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel will have access from Waterloo Street, where temporary two-way access is being provided during the closure.

LTC bus routes 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 19 and 20 will be detoured along Ridout Street, York Street, Waterloo Street and Dundas Street while this work is underway.

About the East London Link Project

The East London Link is a multi-year project that will revitalize more than 6 km of road from Downtown to Fanshawe College. The project will add transportation and transit improvements above ground, while repairing and replacing aging sewers, watermains and other underground infrastructure.
