Anyone wishing to speak at a Public Participation Meeting can do so virtually using Zoom online or phone, or by attending in person. City Hall is currently open to the public in limited capacity for public participation meetings.  If you wish to attend in person to speak to a matter that is on an agenda you are encouraged to pre-register by email or phone.  Please note that the majority of Elected Officials attend the meetings virtually.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION

The following applications have been received by the City of London.  The Planning and Environment Committee will be considering these applications at a future public meeting, the date and time of which will be published in the Londoner.  If you have any questions or would like to provide comment, please see “Providing Comment” below.

3425 Grand Oak Crossing – The purpose and effect of this application is to approve a Draft Plan of Vacant Land Condominium within a block of a registered plan of subdivision (39T-14504 / 33M-742) consisting of 23 single detached dwellings. Common elements will be provided including visitor parking, waste disposal, and landscaped amenity area. Private roads are proposed to provide access from Pack Road and Grand Oak Crossing which will be shared with the adjacent proposed Standard Condominium with 35 townhouse units (39CD-21521). If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Corporation of the City of London or of the Approval Authority to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the application is adopted or approved, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the City of London before the proposed amendment is adopted or approved, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

If you wish to be notified of a decision of the Committee of Adjustment, you must appear in person or by Counsel at the hearing and file a written request with the Secretary-Treasurer of the Committee of Adjustment.  An appeal from a decision of the Committee of Adjustment to the Ontario Land Tribunal shall be filed within 20 days of making the decision. CITY SERVICES DURING THE 2021 HOLIDAY CLOSURE

A number of our offices, programs and services are closed from noon on December 24, 2021 and will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on January 4, 2022. 

Below is a list of services that are open or available during this time:

Arenas & Outdoor Skating Rinks:

Arenas - open December 26 at 4 p.m. Regular programs December 27, 28, 29 & 30. 

Victoria Park ice rink - open (weather permitting), daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The rink is closed for ice resurfacing from 5:30- 6:30 p.m. daily. Call 519-661-4529 to check the rink conditions.

Covent Garden Market Rotary rink - open (weather permitting) Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Storybook Gardens - open for extended skating hours weather permitting. Please check storybook.london.ca for updates to hours and/or skating conditions.

Child Care Fee Subsidy: The Child Care Fee Subsidy office at Citi Plaza is open December 29 & 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and December 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Apply online 24/7 at london.ca/childcare

Community Centres, Seniors' Centres & Satellites:

Recreation and Sport Customer Service: Customer Service will be available via e-mail, phone and in-person at Citi Plaza location on December 29 & 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and December 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Life Stabilization:

Ontario Works and Discretionary Benefits Offices are open on December 29 and 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on December 31 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. 

Online applications for Ontario Works can be accessed 24/7 at https://saapply.mcss.gov.on.ca.

Case status and cheque information for ongoing Ontario Works clients - Ontario Works clients can access information about their case by calling the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System at 1-800-808-2268. The IVR system is available 24/7.
