Rescue Rendezvous adoption event returns to The Catty Shack

It’s the purr-fect opportunity to meet your new feline friend. The City of London will be hosting a cat adoption event at The Catty Shack on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will feature adoption promotions, a chance to meet with local rescue organizations and fun activities for the whole family.

“Rescue Rendezvous is the perfect event to showcase the city’s adoption facility to the public, and to promote the benefits of adopting a cat,” says Wade Jeffery, Manager of Community Compliance & Animal Welfare Services. “The cats and kittens at the Catty Shack are well cared for by the staff from London Animal Care & Control, and are ready to find their loving, forever home.”

The Catty Shack is located at 756 Windermere Road, at the northwest corner of Adelaide St. N. and Windermere Rd.

If you are unable to attend the event, The Catty Shack’s regular hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

About The Catty Shack

The Catty Shack is the City of London's adoption facility for our feline friends. With the main goal that all healthy, adoptable cats have an opportunity to be placed in a forever home, the Catty Shack welcomes visitors to come and meet available cats.

Located in a cozy house with a storefront concept, The Catty Shack is a temporary home for healthy, well-adjusted and vaccinated cats. The facility offers Londoners a convenient, accessible location to visit, view and take home adoptable cats.

The Catty Shack is not an animal shelter where animals can be dropped off. Intake services for the City of London are done through the London Animal Care Centre at 121 Pine Valley Boulevard.
