On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, York Street will be temporarily closed from Richmond Street to Talbot Street, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to facilitate private concrete work in the area.
During this time, westbound traffic on York Street will be detoured around the closure using Richmond Street, Horton Street and Ridout Street. Eastbound traffic will be directed from York Street to Talbot Street, King Street and Richmond Street.
Drivers travelling through the area are advised to expect delays and to plan ahead by using navigation apps such as Waze and Google Maps to find alternative routes when possible.
Sidewalk restrictions will be in place and pedestrians are advised to use nearby streets to reach their destinations.
Access to businesses in this block of York Street will be maintained during this closure.
Transit riders are encouraged to visit the LTC website for route detours and service updates.
