Temporary overnight closures for asphalt surface paving – Queens Avenue and Ridout Street North

On Wednesday, June 21, Queens Avenue will be closed overnight from west of Richmond Street to Ridout Street North to complete surface asphalt paving for this section of the Downtown Loop Phase 2 project. The road is anticipated to be closed from 7 p.m., until approximately 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 22.

As part of the paving works, Ridout Street North will also be closed from Fullarton Street to York Street overnight, starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 until approximately at 7 a.m. on Friday, June 23.

During this time, a signed detour will be in place guiding motorists around the closure through Dufferin Avenue and York Street.

As a reminder, Queens Avenue is fully closed between Wellington Street and Richmond Street and a temporary two-way traffic configuration is in place at the Clarence to Richmond block to support access to businesses and other destinations in the area.

Sidewalk access will be maintained and pedestrians are advised to follow signs to navigate the construction zone.

Businesses remain open and accessible during construction.
