Temporary closure of two intersections in Old East Village

On Monday, June 19, the intersection of Quebec Street and Dundas Street, and Egerton Street and Dundas Street intersection in Old East Village will be fully closed as part of the East London Link Phase 2 project to complete sewer works.

Both intersections will reopen approximately at the end of day on Monday, June 19. All businesses in Old East Village will remain open and accessible throughout this work.

Once these intersections reopen on Monday, the west limit of the project at Dundas Street will be closed to prevent cut-through traffic across the construction zone to ensure everyone remains safe during construction. Drivers are asked to continue to exercise caution when accessing local destinations as construction crews are working in close proximity.

These barriers will be removed each week at the end of day Friday to support local access to OEV destinations from the west during the weekend. Barriers will return at the start of each week on Monday as work continues in the area.

A signed detour will be in place for drivers travelling around the area. People driving are advised to expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout this work on at least one side of the road. People walking are advised to follow wayfinding signs to navigate the construction area safely.

All businesses remain open and accessible during construction.
