Road repair and resurfacing work on Wharncliffe Road South begins August 23

Starting Monday, August 23, Wharncliffe Road South from Elmwood Avenue to approximately 50m south of Baseline Road East will undergo road and sidewalk repair and resurfacing work. The work is expected to last until the end of September, weather permitting.

Road users can expect delays from intermittent lane restrictions throughout the construction area. Road resurfacing work is scheduled between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. to minimize traffic impacts. At least one lane of general traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.

All London Transit (LTC) routes on Wharncliffe Road South will remain operational during construction. Some LTC stops may require temporary relocation due to construction, however, signage will be provided to help navigate transit users.

Cyclists are advised to exercise caution around the area, follow all construction signs, and consider using nearby streets as alternative routes.

Businesses remain open.
