Wharncliffe Road South between Morgan Avenue and Southbridge Drive (550 meters east of Wonderland Road South) will be closed to all road users beginning this evening at 6 p.m.
The road will be closed until approximately the end of the day on Tuesday May 4. This closure is to allow crews to complete watermain upgrades in the area.
During this time, a signed detour will be in effect for motorists. North and southbound vehicles travelling through the area will be redirected around the closure using Wonderland Road and Bradley Avenue. Access will be maintained to local residences and businesses.
Transit riders are advised to review the LTC detour if their route is impacted.
Motorists are advised to check if their commute is impacted, and to plan ahead by using the Waze app.
